Indian hockey team defender Rupinder Pal Singh retires from international hockey

Indian men’s hockey team defender Rupinder Pal Singh has announced his retirement from international hockey.

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment launches toll-free helpline number (14567) ‘Elder Line’

Recently the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched the first toll-free helpline number (14567) ‘Elder Line’ for senior citizens.
Through this ‘Elder Line’ senior citizens will be provided advice and guidance on pension issues, legal issues and other facilities.

Right Livelihood Award 2021

Recently Right Livelihood Award 2021 has been announced by Stockholm based Right Livelihood Foundation.
Delhi-based environmental organization “Legal Initiative for Forests and Environment- LIFE” has been awarded the Right Livelihood Award 2021.

North Korea successfully test-fired hypersonic missile “Hwasong-8”

Recently, North Korea has successfully test-fired a new hypersonic missile “Hwasong-8”.
Hypersonic Missile: Hypersonic missiles fly at a lower altitude than ballistic weapons.
Its speed is five times more than the speed of sound.

The Ordnance Factory Board of India was dissolved from 01 October 2021.

The Ordnance Factory Board of India has been dissolved by the Ministry of Defense on 01 October 2021.
The Ordnance Factory Board will be replaced by DPSUS.
The management, control operations and maintenance of 41 ordnance factories have been entrusted to these 7 newly formed Defense Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs).
