Uttar Pradesh government renamed ‘Kakori incident’ as ‘Kakori Train Action’

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has changed the name of ‘Kakori Kand’ to ‘Kakori Train Action’.
This has been done because the government believes that the word ‘Kand’ refers to this incident of India’s freedom struggle in a derogatory manner.
The UP government celebrated the 97th anniversary of ‘Kakori Train Action’ on 09 August 2021 under the program ‘Chauri Chaura Mahotsav’.
The Kakori Kand was a historic train robbery incident that took place on 9 August 1925 by the revolutionaries of the Indian freedom struggle to loot the treasury of the British government.
This entire incident was carried out by ten members of Hindustan Republican Association (HRA).
Ramprasad Bismil, Ashfaq Ulla Khan and Roshan Singh were hanged for the Kakori incident.

Karnataka became the first state to give orders regarding the implementation of the National Education Policy-2020

Karnataka has become the first state in the country to pass an order regarding the implementation of the National Education Policy-2020 (NEP-2020).
The New Education Policy 2020 was announced by the Government of India on 29th July 2020.
This policy was Based on the report headed by space scientist K. Kasturirangan.
This is the third National Education Policy of India.
National Education Policy was formed for the first time in the year 1968 and again in the year 1986.
Under the new education policy, a target of public expenditure of 6% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been set.
Under this, instead of 10 + 2, 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 format will be included in schools.

Bank will be penalized by RBI for running out of cash in ATM

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that banks will be penalized for the inconvenience caused to customers when they run out of cash in ATMs.
Under this, a provision of Rs 10000 has been made by the RBI on the concerned bank for not having cash in the ATM for more than 10 hours in a month.
In White Label ATMs (WLAs) the penalty will be levied on the bank that fulfills the requirement at its respective ATM.
White Label ATMs (WLAs): ATMs set up, owned and operated by non-banks are called White Label ATMs.
