‘Guru Ghasidas National Park’ will become 53rd Tiger Reserve of the country

The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) has given approval to make Guru Ghasidas National Park located in the Koriya district of Chhattisgarh a Tiger Reserve.
This will be the 53rd Tiger Reserve of the country and the fourth of Chhattisgarh.

Guru Ghasidas National Park: This national park was formerly a part of ‘Sanjay National Park’ located in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh.
After the formation of Chhattisgarh, 60% of this park went to the Koriya district of Chhattisgarh.

Dr. Aziz Hajini, the famous writer, translator and poet of Jammu and Kashmir, passed away recently.
Hajini of Bandipur district of Kashmir was the secretary of the Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages ​​of Jammu and Kashmir.
In 2013, he was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Translation Award for ‘Za Gaz Zameen’, a Kashmiri translation of Abdul Samad’s Urdu novel ‘Do Gaz Zameen’.

Tamil Nadu Assembly passes bill to scrap ‘NEET’ exam

The Tamil Nadu Assembly has passed a bill to repeal the NEET exam for admission to medical colleges.
After it becomes law, NEET exam will not be conducted in the state.
On the basis of marks scored in class 12, students will be given admission in medical colleges.
