Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26 July every year.
The day is celebrated every year to remember the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in ‘Operation Vijay’ against the infiltration of Pakistani troops on 26 July 1999.
This year 22 anniversary of victory in Kargil war is being celebrated.


Telangana’s Rudreshwar temple included in UNESCO World Heritage

The Kakatiya Rudreshwar Ramappa Temple at Palampet in Mulugu district of Telangana has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
With this it has become the 39th World Heritage Site of India.
The Rudreshwar temple was built in the 13th century.
It is named after its architect Ramappa.

Rs 12.5 lakh will be given to the coach of the gold medal winning players in the Tokyo Olympics

The Indian Olympic Association (IOC) has announced prize money for coaches of athletes who won medals at the Tokyo Olympics.
Accordingly the following prize money will be awarded:
To the coach of the gold medalist player: Rs 12.5 lakh
To the coach of the silver medalist player: Rs 10 lakh
To the coach of the bronze medalist player: Rs 7.5 lakh
At the same time, the gold medalist of Tokyo Olympics will get 75 lakh rupees.
40 lakh to the silver medalist and
25 lakh has been announced for the bronze medalist.

Prize money of Arjuna Awardee: increased from Rs.05 lakh to Rs.15 lakh
Award amount of Khel Ratna Samman: increased from Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh
Prize money of Dronacharya (Lifetime) Award: increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 15 lakh
Prize money of Dronacharya (regular) award: increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh
Prize money of Dhyan Chand Award: increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh
This increase in the prize money was done in the year 2020.

Sweden has joined the International Solar Alliance (ISA)

Sweden has ratified the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Framework Agreement and is now a member of the ISA.
International Solar Alliance (ISA) is a cooperation organization of countries based on solar energy which was launched by India and France on 30 November 2015 in Paris.
Italy joined the International Solar Alliance on 17 March 2021.
