World Hepatitis Day is observed every year on 28 July.
Theme of World Hepatitis Day 2021: “Hepatitis Can’t Wait”
This day is celebrated on 28 July, the birthday of Nobel Prize winning scientist Dr. Baruch Blumberg.
He discovered the hepatitis ‘B’ virus and developed a diagnostic test and vaccine for the virus.
Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver.
It is of five types: A, B, C, D and E
Of these, B and C are the most dangerous and are considered to be chronic hepatitis.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has appointed the Chairman of Lulu Group, M A Yusuf Ali, as the Vice President of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI).
Yusufali is the only Indian to join the 29-member board.
Recently Yusuf Ali was honored with Abu Dhabi’s top civilian award.

World’s largest floating solar farm to be built in Indonesia

Singapore’s Sunseep Group plans to spend $2 billion to build this farm.

Basavaraj Bommai appointed as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka

Basavaraj Bommai took oath as the 23rd Chief Minister of Karnataka on 28 July.
He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot.
He replaced BS Yediyurappa.
Yediyurappa resigned from his chief minister’s post on 26 July on the completion of two years of his government.
Basavaraj Bommai was till now the Home Minister of Karnataka.


Assam CM lays foundation stone of ‘Bamboo Industrial Park’

Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone of ‘Bamboo Industrial Park’ at Manderdisa village in Dima Hasau with an aim to generate huge employment opportunities for the local youth.
The park will be constructed under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (Donor) at a cost of Rs 50 crore.

Japan’s Yuto Horigome won the first gold medal in skateboarding at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Japan’s Uto Horigo won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in the men’s skateboarding competition.
With this, he has become the first player to win a gold medal in skateboarding at the Olympics.
Brazil’s Calvin Hoefler won the silver medal.
Jagger Eaton of the United States won the bronze medal.
At the same time, Japan’s Momiji Nishiya (13 years 330 days) won the gold medal in the women’s skateboarding competition.
With this Nishia has become the youngest player to win a gold medal.
Skateboarding is included in the Tokyo Olympics for the first time.

His term will be of one year.
Rakesh Asthana is a former director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
