Sanjay Arora appointed as the new Director General (DG) of ITBP

IPS officer Sanjay Arora has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
He will replace IPS officer SS Deswal.
SS Deswal is the Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and holds the additional charge of Director General of BSF.
Apart from this, Balaji Srivastava has been appointed as the new chief of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD).

The author of this book is Ajitabha Bose.
The foreword of the book is written by Dharmendra.
Ajitabha Bose is known as the ‘King of Pocket-Books’.
His name has been included in the Limca Book of Records for writing the shortest love story.

On August 26, 2021, the Government of Madhya Pradesh implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) – 2020 in the state.
With this, Madhya Pradesh has become the second state in the country to implement NEP-2020.
First state in the country to implement NEP-2020: Karnataka
The New Education Policy 2020 was announced by the Government of India on 29th July 2020.
This policy was made by space scientist K. Kasturirangan presided over the report.
This is the third National Education Policy of India.
For the first time in the year 1968 and then in the year 1986, the National Policy on Education was formulated.
Under the new education policy, a target of public expenditure of 6% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been set.
Under this, instead of 10 + 2, 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 format will be included in schools.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched ‘Yuktdhara’ portal

The Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Giriraj Singh has launched a geo-spatial planning portal named ‘Yuktdhara’.
This portal has been created jointly by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Ministry of Rural Development.
It is a remote sensing portal which will help in fulfilling many tasks related to rural development and will play a big role in agriculture to agriculture development.
Apart from this, the properties of Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) will be facilitated.
Similarly, there is a remote sensing portal ‘Bhuvan’.
This porta has been made by ISRO.
The ‘Bhuvan’ portal collects data related to MGNREGA.

Initially it was called National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA).

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur has launched various programs to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
These events will be held from 23 to 29 August 2021.
These events will be launched as part of the ‘Iconic Week’ celebrations of the Ministry.
The celebrations include participation from across the country under the overall spirit of ‘Jan Bhagidari and Jan Andolan’.
Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi: It is an initiative launched by the Government of India to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence.
The festival will run for 75 weeks (15 August 2023) starting from 12 March 2021.

Sandeep Bakshi reappointed as MD and CEO of ICICI Bank

Ohmium International Launches India’s First Green Hydrogen Electrolyzer Manufacturing Unit in Karnataka

US-based renewable energy startup Ohmium International has launched India’s first green hydrogen electrolyzer manufacturing facility in Karnataka capital Bengaluru.
It will manufacture Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) hydrogen electrolysers manufactured in India.
It will have an initial manufacturing capacity of 500 MW per year, which will be increased to 2 GW.


The central government approved the proposal to increase the family pension of bank employees by 30%

The Central Government has approved the proposal of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) to increase the family pension of deceased bank employees by 30% of the last drawn pay.
Earlier the family pension was Rs 9284.
But now the family of banking employees can get pension up to a maximum of Rs 35000.
In addition, the contribution made by public sector banks towards employee pension under the National Pension Scheme (NPS) has been increased from 10% to 14%.
