Myanmar’s military chief Min Aung Hlaing appointed interim prime minister
Dictator Min Aung Hling, the military chief of Myanmar’s military, has announced himself as the country’s new interim prime minister.
It has also announced to extend the state of emergency for two years.
He has also announced to hold elections in Myanmar after August 2023.
There was a military coup in Myanmar on 1 February 2021.
After which Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of the National League for Democracy Party, was detained.
This is the third coup in Myanmar.
A coup is a situation when the army, paramilitary force or the opposition party themselves occupy power by removing the current government.

The Union Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh has released the “Biotech-Pride” (Promotion of Research and Innovation through Data Exchange) Guidelines”.

Neelakurinji flowers bloom in Shantanpara Shalom Hills of Idukki in Kerala state, which bloom only once in 12 years.
Neelakurinji flowers are found in the Shalom Hills of Idukki.
Also known as Shalomkunnu.
Nilgiri hills are called ‘Nilgiri’ because of these blue flowers.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur launches Paralympic theme song “Kar De Kamal Tu”
Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur launched the theme song ‘Kar De Kamal Tu’ online for the Paralympic Games to be held in Tokyo.
The singer and composer of this song is Sanjeev Singh, a Divyang cricketer from Lucknow.

Indian women’s boxer Lovlina Borgohain won a bronze medal in the 69 kg category at the Tokyo Olympics.
This is India’s third medal in Tokyo Olympics 2021.
Earlier Mirabai Chanu won silver in weightlifting and bronze medal in badminton by PV Sindhu.
With this, Assam’s Lovlina has become the third Indian boxer to win a medal in the Olympic boxing event.

India-Bangladesh Haldibari-Chilahati rail route resumed
Haldibari-Chilahati rail line between India and Bangladesh has been restarted after 56 years.
The Haldibari-Chilhati rail service between the two countries was stopped after the Indo-Pakistani War, 1965.
This is the fifth rail link service between India and Bangladesh.
