130th edition of Durand Cup begins in Kolkata

On 05 September 2021, the 130th edition of the Durand Cup related to the football game was started at Vivekananda Yubbharti Krirangan, Kolkata.
This competition will be held till 3rd October 2021.
16 teams are participating in this (East Bengal and Mohun Bagan are not participating)
Durand Cup: It is the third oldest football tournament in the world and the oldest in Asia.
The tournament was named after ‘Mortimer Durand’.
This competition was organized for the first time in 1888 in Dagshai, Himachal Pradesh.

Food Processing Week: 06 – 12 September, 2021

The ‘Food Processing Week’ is being celebrated by the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries from September 06 to 12, 2021 as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’: It is an initiative launched by the Government of India to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence.
The festival will run for 75 weeks (15 August 2023) starting from 12 March 2021.
