Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched ‘Laddoo Distribution Scheme’ for pregnant women from Gujarat, Gandhinagar.
Under the scheme, 15 nutritious laddus will be distributed every month to about 7,000 pregnant women till the birth of the child.

Avni Lakhera became the first Indian woman player to win two medals in the same Paralympics

Avni Lakhera of Jaipur won the bronze medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 event at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
Earlier, she won the gold medal in Class SH1 of the women’s R-2 10m Air Rifle.
This was India’s first gold medal in shooting at the Paralympics.
With this, Avani Lakhera has become the first Indian woman player to win two medals in the same Paralympics.
First Indian player to win multiple medals in a single stage: Joginder Singh Sodhi
Joginder Singh Sodhi won silver in the shot put, while the discus throw and javelin bronze medals at the 1984 Paralympics.

Indian athlete Praveen Kumar won a silver medal in the men’s high jump T-64 event at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
Other winners of men’s high jump at the Tokyo Paralympics: Mariyappan Thangavelu (Silver), Sharad Kumar (Bronze) and Nishad Kumar (Silver).

Ronaldo made this record by scoring two goals against Ireland in a World Cup qualifying match.
Earlier, the title of highest goalscorer was held by Ali Dei (109 goals) of Iran.

Chandan Mitra was an MP from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
But he joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) headed by Mamata Banerjee in the year 2018.
Chandan Mitra was the editor and managing director of The Pioneer newspaper, New Delhi.

Veteran fundamentalist leader of Jammu and Kashmir Syed Ali Geelani passed away at the age of 92.
He was an MLA from Sopore Assembly Constituency of Jammu and Kashmir.
He had also formed his own party called Tehreek-e-Hurriyat.
Geelani was also a former president of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC).
In the year 2020, Pakistan honored Syed Ali Geelani with its highest civilian award, the Nishan-e-Pakistan.


IIT Ropar develops world’s first plant based smart air-purifier “Ubreath Life”

Faridabad shooter Manish Narwal won the gold medal in the mixed 50m SH1 category at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
This is India’s third gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics.
Sinharaj of Faridabad also won
silver medal in the same category.
This is Singhraj’s second medal after he won a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol SH1.

Harvinder won this medal by defeating Soo Min Kim of Korea.
India has won a medal in archery at the Paralympics for the first time.

Vice President of India and Chairman of Rajya Sabha M Venkaiah Naidu has appointed Dr. Parasram Pattabhi Keshav Ramacharyulu as the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat.
Ramacharyulu will replace Desh Deepak Verma in this post.

Dr. PPK Ramacharyulu was working as Secretary in the Rajya Sabha Secretariat since the year 2018.
